Traditional Ukrainian syrniki made from cottage cheese — soft and airy on the inside with a lightly golden crust on the outside. This easy, quick recipe brings a true homestyle flavour to your breakfast or dessert, with minimal effort and time.

Preparation Method

Heat the pan: Preheat a frying pan over medium heat and add a small amount of butter or neutral oil.

Cook the syrniki: Place the frozen syrniki onto the pan, leaving space between them. Fry for 3–4 minutes on each side until a light golden crust forms.

Finish gently: If needed, reduce the heat, cover with a lid, and warm for another 1–2 minutes to ensure the syrniki are heated through while staying soft inside.

Serve: Serve warm with sour cream and fresh berries. Optionally dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with honey for a classic finish.
